A Very Special Birthday Party is a 50-minute sketch comedy show that debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe 2023, frequently playing to sold-out audiences throughout the month and quickly becoming a Fringe favourite.
Framed around the chaotic eve of a troupe member’s birthday, the show delivered a fast-paced mix of quirky, hysterical sketches that blended absurdity with charm. Praised by critics, the troupe has since rebranded as “Wax” and become 2025 Leicester Square Sketch Off Semifinalists. Material from the show also contributed to their 2023 Sketch Off win in Edinburgh.
